Charlye Pitlane is designed as an offline planning studio. It stores only the generic cards and optional phrase draft that you choose to keep on your device. It has no account, server connection, analytics, advertising, purchase flow, donation flow, or family-intake channel. This policy explains those boundaries in plain language and separates app behavior from the behavior of any future website host.
Scope and product identity
This policy covers the Android application named
Charlye Pitlane, package
org.cheeringforcharlye.pitlane, and the two-page
static website distributed with it. Charlye Pitlane is an
app-authored editorial companion inspired by the publicly stated
mission of Cheering for Charlye Foundation. It is not a medical
service, official support-request system, donation processor,
volunteer-registration portal, or live event calendar.
What the app does
The app lets a user select a broad track condition, browse illustrated support ideas, read boundary cues, save generic action cards in a private lapbook, mark those cards complete, and draft one short listen-first phrase. These tools are for the user's own reflection and planning. The app does not match users with families, verify needs, schedule services, provide health guidance, or send saved content to the organization or anybody else.
No automatic collection
Charlye Pitlane does not automatically collect a name, email address, phone number, precise or approximate location, device identifier, advertising identifier, contacts, photos, files, microphone input, camera input, browsing history, usage events, crash telemetry, payment information, or health information. There is no backend endpoint to receive app activity.
Local app state
Android private app storage can hold: the selected track-condition
identifier; identifiers for saved generic support cards;
identifiers for cards marked complete; and the optional phrase
draft described next. This state is stored with Android
SharedPreferences inside the app's private area. It
is used only to restore the user's lapbook on that same app
installation. No local state is synchronized or exported by the
app.
Optional phrase draft
Signal Flags includes an optional short text field so a user can shape a generic offer in their own words. The field is limited in length and remains in local app storage. A visible reminder asks users not to enter names, contact details, diagnoses, treatment information, schedules, or other sensitive personal information. The app cannot inspect, moderate, send, or recover this draft from another device.
Device permissions
The release manifest requests no camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, call, SMS, nearby-device, Bluetooth, notification, location, storage, media-library, biometric, or Internet permission. The launcher uses ordinary Android capabilities to draw the interface and write to its own private storage. If a future version requests a new permission, that is a material behavior change and this policy must be revised before release.
Network and offline behavior
The Android app is designed to work without a network connection and does not declare the Android Internet permission. Images, editorial content, navigation, motion, saved cards, completion marks, and erasure controls are packaged locally. The app does not call an API, load remote images, resolve an external URL, download updates from inside the app, or transmit a heartbeat.
Accounts and identity
There is no sign-in, registration, profile, username, password, federated identity, age gate, family account, cloud backup account, or organization login inside the app. Charlye Pitlane does not try to identify the user or connect app activity to an individual. Reinstalling the app does not restore an account because no account exists.
Analytics and tracking
The app includes no analytics SDK, advertising SDK, attribution SDK, social SDK, session replay, remote logging, remote crash reporting, tracking pixel, fingerprinting code, or cross-app identifier. It does not record which card is opened for product metrics. The static website contains no analytics script, pixel, cookie banner, or embedded third-party media.
Ads, purchases, and donations
Charlye Pitlane contains no advertising, sponsored placement, in-app purchase, subscription, Play Billing integration, checkout, tip jar, donation form, payment link, or digital-goods entitlement. The app does not collect payment or financial data and does not imply that saving or completing a card financially supports the Foundation.
Health and sensitive data
The app does not request, diagnose, interpret, store, or transmit cancer status, symptoms, treatment, medication, appointments, insurance, disability, race or ethnicity, religion, sexuality, financial hardship, or other sensitive circumstances. Its cards are general non-clinical ideas. Users should not adapt the local phrase field into a patient record or include another person's confidential information without authority.
Children and family privacy
The subject of the app includes respectful ways to support families, but the product is not designed to collect information from a child or build a child profile. It asks for no birth date, school, parent identity, photo, voice, precise location, health story, or direct contact. Adults using the app should protect a child's dignity and avoid placing identifying or medical details in the optional local draft.
Retention and erasure
Local selections remain until the user changes them, removes a saved card, clears the lapbook, clears app storage in Android, or uninstalls the app. The in-app Erase all local lapbook data control clears the selected condition, saved action identifiers, completion identifiers, and phrase draft. Because there is no backend, there is no server copy and no remote deletion request to submit.
Security and the device boundary
Local state is placed in the app's private Android storage and the release disables Android backup for this product. This reduces unnecessary movement of the lapbook, but no software can guarantee the security of a rooted, compromised, shared, lost, or unlocked device. Use the app's erase control and normal device security if local privacy matters. Keep sensitive information out of the draft field even on a secured device.
Sharing, sale, and disclosure
The app does not sell, rent, license, share, or disclose personal data because it does not collect or receive personal data. There are no data processors, advertising partners, analytics vendors, data brokers, or cloud-storage providers inside the Android app. Local cards are not shared with Cheering for Charlye Foundation, Google, another user, or the app publisher by app functionality.
Website and external links
The supplied website is static: it sets no first-party cookie, uses no browser storage, runs no analytics, loads no external font or media, and contains no form. If a publisher hosts these files, the hosting provider may process ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and security logs under the host's own terms. A link to the Foundation's official public website leaves this site; the destination controls its own content and privacy behavior.
Policy and product changes
This policy describes release 1.0.0 as prepared on August 25, 2026. A future publisher must revise the policy before adding a network permission, account, remote storage, analytics, advertising, billing, donation handling, messaging, forms, health-data feature, new device permission, or a website service that changes the behavior described here. The effective date should change when the policy meaningfully changes.
Contact and publisher boundary
No verified publisher-controlled app-support or privacy contact has been supplied for this local release candidate, so this page does not invent one. The distribution owner must add and verify an appropriate support contact in the public store record or published policy before representing the product as publicly supported.
